Dan Walters founded Copper Harbor Company, Inc. after a career with Chevron Corp.  Dan joined Chevron as a refinery engineer in Mississippi and held positions of increasing responsibility.  As Manager of Deicing Technology, Dan implemented innovative organization concepts and was instrumental in developing technologies that formed the basis for a new business.  His last assignment at Chevron was to bring profitability to brands such as Techron, Supreme, and PRO-GARD as General Manager of the Consumer Products Team.  He was also instrumental in re-branding Chevron Gasolines to include Techron and assisted in starting the ‘talking-car’ advertising campaign.

Dan holds multi-national patents in chemical process technology and composition of matter.  He has lectured around the world on alternative deicing and bio-chemical technologies and economics. Dan is currently President of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, and Director for the local Boy Scout and Girl Scout councils. He received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from Pepperdine University (Presidential/Key Executive Program).
